Introducing, the Guild Timepieces Domitor - Titanium Fixed lug GMT
Named for the Roman historical use of the word meaning “Conquerer”. The Domitor’s existence is one of pure functionality. A memento for the end user to carry going forth to conquer whatever obstacles they may face with a tool capable of enduring such battles with them.
Featuring a matte titanium fixed lug case, elapsed timing 120 click bezel, glossy black (appears matte) C3 lumed dial, C3 lumed white minimalistic handset and indices for ideal and precise legibility, GMT functionality with GMT movement, orange and black GMT hand, 24 hr GMT chapter ring, and 200M of water resistance.
Engraved on the case back of the Domitor is the symbol Chi-Rho. The Chi-Rho (☧) is one of the earliest symbols of Christianity, derived from the first two Greek letters of Christos(ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ), meaning “Christ.” Formed by superimposing the Greek letters Chi (Χ) and Rho (Ρ), it represents Jesus Christ’s victory over sin and death, serving as a sign of salvation, eternal life, and the triumph of divine light over darkness.
In the Roman Empire, the symbol gained historic prominence under Emperor Constantine the Great, who, before the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in 312 CE, reportedly saw the Chi-Rho in a vision accompanied by the words “In hoc signo vinces”—“In this sign, you will conquer.” He ordered the emblem placed on his soldiers’ shields and banners, and upon his victory, it became the imperial standard, known as the Labarum. For Constantine, it symbolized divine favor and legitimate rule, merging Roman power with Christian faith.
The Domitor serves as an homage of these elden days of strength and masculinity.
This project is one that has been at the forefront of our development since Guild Timepieces very inception. We set out to put forth a fixed lug titanium watch that offers the fullest degree of practical functionality for both the professional end user (especially those that do work overseas to have the capability of GMT functionality) and the hard use enthusiast at a price point attainable to all.
Each watch is hand assembled in house by Guild Timepieces in the USA, pressure tested in house to ensure water resistance, and each movement regulated in house to put forth the highest quality product in compliance with all specifications.
